The above graphic shows the tracking for visitors
to your Web site and the number of times they click through to our
Web site:
1) You have a Web site and have
placed a link or links to NamesDirect (generated through the CJ system)
on your Web site.
2) The link includes a 1 pixel
by 1 pixel invisible image encoded with the AID (advert ID, enabling
you to diffentiate between different links) and PID (publisher Web
site ID, enabling you to differentiate between different Web sites
you operate and allowing us to differentiate between different affiliates).
When your page is loaded (by someone accessing it), the image is
called and loaded from CJ's servers. CJ notes this call and enters
it into their database as an impression for that advert and your
Web site.
3) The link to NamesDirect is actually
a link to CJ that is encoded with the same AID and PID. When a Web
site visitor clicks on the link they are taken to CJ. CJ then notes
the click and enters it into their database as a click for that
advert and your Web site.
4) CJ immediately (and invisibly)
redirects the click to NamesDirect's Web server, passing the same AID
and PID. The visitor arrives at NamesDirect's Web site and as part
of loading NamesDirect's home page a cookie is set that contains the
AID and PID. This cookie is valid for 90 days. More than 98% of
NamesDirect's visitors in the past month have their browsers configured
to automatically accept cookies.

The above graphic shows the tracking for sales
on our Web site and the way your commissions are tracked and transmitted
to CJ:
1) Someone visits the NamesDirect
Web site, searches for domain names and places an order for a new
domain registration or a domain transfer.
2) Every time an order is placed,
our order system checks to see if a cookie is set that contains
an AID and PID. If the AID and PID is present then they are written
to our database along with the rest of the details of the order.
3) Our back end systems then
attempt to register/transfer the domain name (it takes a few seconds
for a new domain and up to a week for a transfer). It then attempts
to charge the credit card. If the domain is successfully registered/transferred
and the card is successfully charged the domain is placed into the
customer's account. Our systems then send the transaction data (AID,
PID, our order ID, and the amount) to CJ where it shows up typically
within 30 minutes in your statistics.
