Account Information
How do I
update account information?
You can update your account information, such
as e-mail address, mailing and pay to address, by logging into Commission
Junction (CJ), clicking on "Account" then clicking on
"Edit".

I operate
more than one Web site. How do I add sites to my account?
To add sites to your account, log into CJ, click
on "Account", then click on "Web Site Settings".
How do I
deactivate an account?
If for any reason, you wish to voluntarily terminate
your membership of our affiliate program, please contact us. Alternatively
you can log into CJ, select NamesDirect from the drop-down list of
“your advertisers” at the bottom of the page, and click
“View Detail”, you can then click on the “Drop
Program” button.

Why do you
ask for my Social Security Number?
The IRS requires us to detail the commission payments
we make to our affiliates. In order to deliver your commission payments
to you via CJ’s consolidated payment interface, they need
your social security number. NamesDirect never has access to your social
security number.

Reports and Payment
What is
the commission structure for NamesDirect’s affiliate program,
and when will I get paid?
15% commission for each sale through the NamesDirect
shopping cart via a link on the Affiliate Partner site.
Commissions will be paid monthly by CJ.
There is no minimum payment threshold for NamesDirect
but CJ will only send you a check if your combined commissions across
all CJ affiliate programs is $25 or higher.

What is
the 90 day cookie, and how does it work?
Many affiliate programs pay commission only for
sales immediately after a click from your web site. We don’t
think that’s fair and we do not operate that way.
We set a cookie (a harmless text file used by
many web sites) on the visitor's computer. For 90 days that cookie
will identify you as having referred that visitor, and you will
earn commission on every purchase they make in those 90 days.

I have more
than one affiliate site. How will I receive payment?
You will receive one check from CJ regardless
of how many affiliate sites you have.
Can I receive
a commission on products I order?
Yes, you will earn commissions on all products
purchased through your link regardless of who the purchaser is.
Are there
any exceptions to the commission rules?
Yes, we do not pay commission for orders from
existing NamesDirect customers who have negotiated a bulk volume discount
with us.

How do I
keep track of commissions?
You can keep track of your commissions through
the CJ reports section. The reports show you the number of impressions
and clicks, as well as the amount and commission amount of your
sales, broken out by your web sites and links used.

How do I
measure my site's performance?
You can measure your site's performance through
the various reports in the CJ Reports section. These reports provide
you with information on critical metrics such as impressions, click-throughs,
click-to-order ratios, and EPC (earnings per 100 clicks).

How often
are reports updated?
Impressions, click-through and sales information
is updated almost in real-time.
Typically sales show up within at most 30 minutes
of the order being completed.

The data
in reports does not accurately reflect activity originating from
my link. Why?
Data, such as impressions, click-throughs, and
sales, are sometimes delayed due to problems with, or upgrades to,
the CJ tracking systems. Even though they are not showing up they
are still being tracked.
If reports are showing what appear to be discrepancies,
it's possible that you modified the code for tags. If the code for
the tag has been modified, reports will not accurately reflect link
activity. This sometimes shows in reports when click-through numbers
are greater than impressions. When click-through numbers are greater
than impressions, it is almost always because the 1x1 pixel has
been removed from the tag on the affiliate site. If this happens,
no impression data will be recorded because the 1x1 pixel is the
mechanism that tracks impression data.
At NamesDirect we reconcile every sale in our databases
against the data shown by CJ to ensure that our affiliates are credited
with every single sale they send us.
We believe that by treating you fairly and ensuring
you get as much commission as possible you will do your best to
promote our program.

Links
How do I
create links to my site?
Creating links is as simple as cutting and pasting.
Just log into CJ, choose NamesDirect from the drop down box at the
bottom of the page and click on Get Links.
Find a link you like (the interactive links work
really well, giving you a domain name search box on your site) and
click on “Get Html” Copy the HTML from the popup window
and paste it into your site.
What type
of links can I create?
You can create a variety of links:
Text links are the simplest; they are just text
that you place on your site.
Banners are visually attractive and if used well
can generate a lot of sales. Be careful that your visitors don’t
ignore them thinking they are just advertisements.
Interactive links are search boxes that you can
put on your site.

Can I modify
the HTML code for a link?
We do NOT recommend modifying the HTML in any
way since it can affect the tracking of your affiliate link. We
are not responsible for any lost commission that may result from
modifications of the link.
If you understand HTML you can try modifying the
links but we recommend you test the links as soon as they are live
on your site.

How do I
check that a link is working?
If you have the technical knowledge to understand
what cookies are and where they are stored on your computer then
you can do the following:
Delete any cookie you have from secure.registerapi.com.
Click on the link you have created.
Check that the URL in your web browser contains
the AID (advert ID) and PID (publisher ID) from the link.
Check to see if you have a new cookie from secure.registerapi.com,
and if you do, check that the cookie contains the PID and AID.
You can also email us with the address of the
page we have created and we will test it for you.

code to the clipboard by typing Ctrl-C or right-clicking on the
highlighted text and choosing "Copy." Paste the HTML code
